Hillsboro, OR and Woodbridge, NJ—February 27, 2015—Fiber SenSys, Inc. (FSI), a world leader in the design and development of fiber-optic sensing technologies for security applications, and Intelligent Security Systems (ISS), a leading Video Management Systems (VMS) and video analytic software vendor, announced today that they have completed a successful integration of an FSI IP alarm with the ISS flagship product, SecurOS Video Management System (VMS) Version 8.3.

The integration involved FD300 Series Alarm Processor Units (APU) with SecurOS Version 8.3. The FD342 APU can be located remotely (up to 20 kilometers) and has the option of up to 5 kilometer sensing cable. This sensor cable is immune to EMI, RFI, and lightning and has over 25 configuration parameters to optimize system performance in even the harshest enviornments.

SecurOS solutions are noted for their ability to integrate with an endless number of other third party solutions, including alarm systems, access control, and building management systems. As a company that specializes in video analytics and enterprise level VMS, ISS solutions deploy advanced algorithms, which produce very accurate images, whether one is dealing with day or night conditions, moving vehicles, or various unfavorable weather conditions. SecurOS Version 8.3 is noted for its support of an unlimited number of users using SecurOS IVS Video Wall and its Edge Storage Sync that fills in gaps for recorded data on a camera’s edge storage. It also has a SecurOS Health Monitor feature, a self diagnostic tool that can monitor video streams from multi-streaming cameras and the availability of video streams from remote systems, and a Layout Editor that allows one to customize the dimension and arrangement of cells to display video from cameras and move any camera to any cell of the custom layout.

“With this integration, we now give the operator the ability to zero in on just what is going on in any given zone of the fence,” said Aluisio Figueiredo, Chief Operating Officer of ISS. “The zone in question lights up, which leaves no guess work for the operator. This saves time and increases overall safety.”

“We see a lot of synergies here between both companies,” said Bill Evenson, Vice President of Fiber SenSys. “Our ability to custom fit a solution to the customer’s needs parallels the ISS approach. In addition, the way our solutions complement each other enhances security and provides the sort of automated intelligence required in high security operations. We look forward to working closely with ISS on various projects around the world.”
