Intrusion Detection System Provides Highest Level of Security at Hillsboro Water Reservoir Test Site

Fiber SenSys, Inc. (FSI) has partnered with the City of Hillsboro, Oregon to successfully test its perimeter intrusion detection technology at Hillsboro's Crandall Reservoir. Working with the City of Hillsboro, Fiber SenSys installed the Model FD525 fiber-optic intrusion detection system at the water reservoir as a part of a project that began in Q4 2013.

"By providing the test site, the City of Hillsboro has been an enormous help to Fiber SenSys," said Kazuo Ikeda, FSI Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer. "We greatly appreciate the City's assistance in making this critical infrastructure asset available for perimeter security testing. We have validated the functionality of the technology and, as a result, our company is positioned to offer maximum Homeland Security integrated security system design flexibility. This is a great example of local government helping local business to succeed."

Testing of the intrusion detection system at Crandall Reservoir is expected to continue through Spring, 2014. At the completion of testing, Fiber SenSys and the City of Hillsboro will continue to explore ways of working together as part of a productive business and community relationship.
