Fiber SenSys Plans Perimeter Lighting Solution
Recent acquisition by parent company OPTEX, Inc. enables smooth product integration
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hillsboro, OR, July 23rd, 2012 - In response to marketplace requirements for improved perimeter security lighting systems, and as a part of an overall integrated security solutions offering, Fiber SenSys, Inc. (FSI) and Raytec have teamed up to provide a new generation of enhanced lighting alternatives. The planned system illuminates the camera field of view and helps security responders using an Infrared (IR) or white lighting design.
Fiber SenSys' LD series lighting systems will be integrated to provide intrusion deterrence with long-range LED and IR solutions for zone-based automatic lighting to illuminate areas with initial potential intrusion attempts.
"Enhanced lighting alternatives for perimeter security represents a new generation of products designed with cost savings and efficiency in mind", said Ed Tapanes, FSI CEO. "The inherent low power consumption of solid state LED arrays result in ultra-low running costs over the life of the lamp", Tapanes added.
Product release is expected in September, 2012.
FSI announced that the lighting solution will include:
- - Lighting up to 820 feet (250m) for urban unit, safety and critical infrastructure security
- - Elimination of poor lighting - critical for improving HD CCTV images in low-light areas
- - APU enabled lighting as a part of the integrated solution
- - Suitability for all low light installations up to 820 feet (250m).
